SICLI 2024 welcomes abstract submissions. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
- Natural Language Processing (NLP): Advancements in NLP Algorithms; NLP Applications; Challenges in NLP; Deep Learning for NLP; Impacts of AI and NLP on Language Cultures
- Machine Learning for Language Tasks: Training Large Language Models; Explainability and Interpretability
- Computational Linguistics: Syntax and Semantics in AI; Morphological Analysis; Discourse and Pragmatics
- AI for Language Education: Intelligent Tutoring Systems; Automated Assessment; Personalized Learning; Gamification; Automated Grading
- Ethics of AI: Bias and Fairness in Language Models; Privacy Concerns; Future Directions
- Linguistic Revitalization through Technological and/or Community Initiatives: Cross-Lingual NLP; Language Diversity in AI; Cultural Nuances in Language; Language, Culture, and Identity in the Digital Age
- Linguistic Diversity and Technological Solutions: Cultural Preservation and Equity through Technology and Policy Development; Digital Platforms and Linguistic Landscapes; AI in Multilingual and Multicultural Contexts; Translation and Technology
- Foundations of Linguistic Intelligence: Historical and Comparative Linguistics
In addition to these topics, we also invite abstracts from all subfields of linguistics (morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse, language acquisition, variation, psycholinguistics, computational linguistics, as well as historical and comparative linguistics). Equal consideration will be given to abstracts addressing the conference theme and to abstracts on related topics.
